The base of the coasters is made of cork: a water resistant, durable, and eco-friendly material with shock absorbing properties, which will protect your surface from scratching. Furthermore, a solvent-free, dermatologically tested adhesive, made of 70% natural materials, is used to affix the cork to the wooden surface. Be aware that this more environmental friendly choice of adhesive lacks the water resistance of stronger, hazardous adhesives.
To preserve quality and longevity of the coasters:
Handle with care
Even though the coasters are coated and made to be used for placing a glass or cup on, it is important to note that they are handcrafted and may wear out or show scratches over time if not handled with care.
Keep it dry
Keep the coasters dry. If needed, gently clean the surface by wiping it with a (damp) microfibre cloth.
Avoid direct sunlight
Sunlight can cause damage to and fading of the paint pigments, so avoid placing or storing the coasters in direct sunlight.
Climate control
Keep the coasters away from humid and damp places, since moisture can lead to mold growth and damage to the paint. Ideally, maintain moisture levels between 40-50% and avoid extreme temperature changes which can cause the paint to crack.
No chemicals
Keep away from chemicals such as household cleaning agents to avoid reactions with and damage to the paint.

Currently, Studio Gestalta is shipping to most EU countries, Norway and Switzerland. Free shipping within the NL for orders over €50,-, and to BE & DE for orders over €75,-. Is shipping to your country currently not available? No problem! Please contact us, so we can specifically calculate the shipping costs and make it possible. If levied, any import duties, taxes and fees are to be paid by you.
